In his proposed martial art, the YiZungYue system, the basic fajing (exerting force) technique (Figs. 6(a) to (c)) starts from stepping on the ground and propagates the force through the spine and back to reach the hands. The basic training includes a series of standing stake method such as “shooting toward the sky stance” (Fig. 3), “taming the earth stance” (Fig. 4), and "swallow turning stance" (Fig. 5).
